About Us

I have always had a passion for fashion but as I ventured in life I found myself diving deeper into being a wife and full time working mother of 3.

 My love for fashion started at a young age with my grandmother, who was an amazing seamstress. She was the one who ignited that fire in me. Whether it be helping me in homec, designing my costumes or teaching me the fundamentals of sewing. Every moment I spent with her was an everlasting log on the fire. A genuine and pure soul, I loved my grandparents and the time I spent with them.

As I got older and kids took over my life, it was my Aunt Tab who would always remind me of my passion. A mother of two herself, she’d always find the time to find the cutest fashions for herself and others! A fashionista with a heart of gold, she truly is an inspiration to all that know her.

 In 2013 my Aunt got diagnosed with ALS, and it literally crushed me. To watch this disease take over someone you cherish so deeply, is just unbearable. In 2016 I lost my grandmother followed by my grandfather a year later in 2017. Recently, in 2020 I lost my Uncle. After a few years of continuous losses something changed in me. I had been close with both my grandparents and Aunt and Uncle. Being forced to close those two chapters in my life was utterly soul crushing for me. I decided after my Uncles sudden passing that I was going live my life for myself, my family and others! I wanted to be that fashionista for others like my Aunt was. I wanted to ignite that fire in someone like my grandmother did! Not only did I want to be in control of my future, I wanted to connect and inspire others too!

 The Turquoise Tulip Boutique embodies my grandfathers’ Native American heritage with my grandmothers’ Dutch heritage while paying a special respect to my Aunt and Uncle with their initials represented in my boutiques name. To me a name isn’t just a name, its a story within itself, it’s what you embody, it’s who you are and this...this is who we are! 

I founded The Turquoise Tulip Boutique to be a place where beauty meets passion! Where we can all be inspired and ignite that fashionista in us all without breaking the bank! A place that searches out more unique items. Where we focus as much as we can on supporting local vendors as well as growing ourselves.
